On Wednesday, my students and I went to Jogjakarta. We stayed at Dirgahayu Hotel which is not far from Malioboro.

Accident
Last week, Mr. Damiri’s wife
had an accident. Her youngest child, Yusuf, was at home when it happened. He
was playing with his new toy car. Suddenly Yusuf heard his mother calling,
“Help! Help! He ran to the kitchen. His mother had burnt herself with some hot
cooking oil. She was crying with pain and the pan was on fire. Mr. Damiri had
gone to his office. The other children had gone to school.
Yusuf was too small to help
his mother, and she was too frightened to speak sensibly to him. But he ran to
the neighbour’s house and asked his neighbor to come and help his mother. The

One day I was sitting in the local
library, I started to read a medical encyclopedia that was lying on the table
in front of me. The first illness I read about was cholera. As I read the list
of symptoms, it occurred to me that perhaps I had cholera myself. I sat for a
while, too frightened to move.
Then, in a kind of dream, I started to
turn the pages of the book again. I came to malaria. Yes, there was no doubt
about it - I had malaria too. And I certainly had hepatitis. And yellow fever.
And so it went on. I read through the whole book, and by the end I came to the
conclusion that I had every illness. There was only one illness I didn’t have –
and that was housemaid’s knee.
I sat and thought, and I became more and
more worried. I wondered how long I had to live. I examined myself. I felt my
pulse. At first, I couldn’t find it at all; then, suddenly it seems start off.
I looked at my watch to time it – it was beating 147 times a minute. I tried to
feel my heart. I couldn’t feel it. It wasn’t beating.
I stuck my tongue out and tried to look
at it. I could only see the end of it, but from that I was even more certain
than before that I had yellow fever. I went straight to my doctor, who was a
good friend of mine. “What’s the matter with you?” he asked. “I have every
illness in the medical encyclopedia.” I told him how I read the medical
encyclopedia. Then he opened my mouth and looked at my tongue, and felt my
pulse, and he listened to my heart. Then he sat down and wrote a prescription.

One day in June, we planned to have a trip to Taman
Safari Bogor. We got up early in the morning, took a bath, took a morning
prayer, and had breakfast. Then we went to the railway station. We brought our
suitcases and plastic bags. We went to Taman Safari via Jakarta. When we
arrived at the railway station, we met our friends. They looked happy because
we came in time.
We arrived in Jakarta at ten o’clock. We saw the top

Bogor is a beautiful city. The weather was not as hot

this area was hilly. When we arrived there, we saw some wild animals on the
left side. We hurriedly fixed the camera, took the photographs of the lions,
tiger, and the bear from distance. We also saw giraffes, zebras, and elephants.
After relaxing we went straight to Bandung by bus.

James Cook, 1728-1778, was an English
explorer and navigator. He was the son of a Yorkshire agricultural labourer and
received little formal education.
After
an apprenticeship with of shipowners at Whitby, in 1755 he joined the royal
navy. Five years later, he surveyed the St. Lawrence Channel and then the
coasts of Newfoundland and Labrador for four years since 1763.
Later,
Cook was command of the Endeavour and
sailed on an expedition to chart the transit of Venus in 1768 and returned to
England in 1771. He had also circumnavigated the globe and explored the coasts
of New Zealand, which he accurately charted for the first time and Australia.
Cook
next commanded an expedition to the South Pacific of two ships, the Resolution and the Adventure, from 1772 until 1775. On this voyage he disproved the
rumor of a great southem continent, explored the Antarctic Ocean and the New
Hebrides, and visited New Caledonia. During the voyage, he applied strict diets
and hygiene which prevented him and his crew from scurvy, heretofore the
scourge of long voyages.
Cook
sailed again in 1776 and in 1778 he visited an island and named it Sandwich
Islands (Hawaii). However, he unsuccessfully searched the coast of North
America for a Northwest Passage. On the return voyage, he was killed by natives
on the island of Hawaii.
During
the course of his journeys Cook visited about ten major Pacific island groups
and more than 40 individual islands, also making first European contact with a
wide variety of indigenous people.

General Sudirman was born on 24th January 1916 in purbalingga.He studied at the Dutch
Natice school in Purwokerta and later transferred to a nationalist school.
